It's our favorite time of the year again at Swirl. No, not the holidays. Halloween! Our highly anticipated annual Halloween party brought the whole agency together for an all–around good time and an excuse to eat copious amounts of candy. This year, the account team joined the planning fun, organizing a killer Dia De Los Muertos theme with a spooktacular fajita lunch, a spiked beverage bar, and a caramel apple dipping station. Oh my!
We take our costumes very seriously at Swirl, and our Swirlies definitely dressed to impress. Which means the costumes were both equally entertaining and impossible to judge. We think everyone was a winner—but the true 2015 costume champions were:
Funniest: Eric Chandler and Michael Lee as Ace Ventura
Most Original: Spencer Kelly as Patrick Bateman, American Psycho
Best Partner/Group: Media Department as Basketball Team
Best Look–alike/Doppelganger: Kaitlyn Landers as Matt Brajot
Most Creative: Maureen Bitter as Butterfly
Best Overall: Rachel Theberge as The Hamburglar
Did we mention there was trick–or–treating? We hosted our annual processional with the children at the Presidio Early Education School. The parade of adorable R2–D2s and Queen Elsas was a heartwarming way to wrap up the fun–filled day.
As an extra treat, we announced our Q3 Matty Award recipient. The Matty, named in honor of Swirl»s first employee, is awarded quarterly to the employee who best exemplifies the qualities that Swirl strives to promote. This year, we were honored to award Jordan Smith, our creative resources manager, for his outstanding contribution to the culture and success of Swirl.
Now that the last of the candy is being polished off and we're finally coming down from our collective sugar highs, it's been a treat looking back on yet another successful Halloween party. Seeing everyone come together in costume was not only a fun opportunity to showcase our creativity, it also proved that when we do something here at Swirl, we go all out.
